RiSoTriene - Frequently Asked Questions
Question: What is RiSoTriene and why is it important in terms of nutrition?
Answer: RiSoTriene is a granulated powder, extracted from the outer layer of the brown rice kernel, and further processed to make it very soluble and assimilable by the human body, turning it into one of the most potent and accessible sources of a complex mixture of phytonutrients and antioxidants.
At least 107 antioxidants have thus far been identified in stabilized rice bran. This is significant because antioxidants perform better in teams. Among many benefits, antioxidants help prevent cancer by preventing free radical damage to DNA at the cellular level.
RiSoTriene is one of the most nutrient dense food available today. It is unequaled in its total number of antioxidants, containing more tocotrienols than any other food. (Tocotrienols have been found to be up to six thousand times more effective in neutralizing free radicals than Vitamin E.)
RiSoTriene contains numerous nutrients, including Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, B15, and Vitamin K. It also has folic acid, choline, inositol, biotin, calcium, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, manganese, copper, iodine, chloride, sodium, chromium, selenium, CoQ10, tocopherols, tocotrienols, xanthophyls, lutein, lycopene, oryzanol, b-sistosterol, ferulic acid flavonoids, glutathione, lipoic acid and many other as yet unidentified compounds. It also contains the amino acids lysine, histidine, agrinine, serine, proline, valine, isoleucine, aspartic acid, tryptophan, glycine, cystine, leucine, ammonia, threonine, glutamic acid alanene, methionine, trysine, & phenylalanine.
RiSoTriene is yeast-free, starch-free, gluten-free and sugar-free, and its arsenal of antioxidants and fatty acids is designed to boost energy and stamina and help regulate blood sugar.
Remember RiSoTriene is a food product and not a dietary supplement, in that it is wholly derived from food with nothing added.
Question: Can I take RiSoTriene with my other medications?
Answer: That depends on whether or not you can you eat brown rice with your other medications? For most people, the answer is resoundingly yes absolutely!
Question: How long will it take before I notice a difference when using RiSoTriene?
Answer: Many people will notice a difference the first time they take it; however, everyone's body is different and we cannot predict how long it will take your body to respond. A good rule of thumb is this: it takes a minimum of three months to change most of your blood cells. When starting any nutritional program allow at least this length of time to give a product a chance to work in your body.
Question: How much RiSoTriene do I need to take to be effective?
Answer: Recommended minimum is four tablespoons a day (two scoops using the scoop provided). Depending upon your own health (nutritional) situation you may want to take more or less.
Question: Should I start with four tablespoons?
Answer: Most people can, but sometimes it is better to start slowly for the two reasons explained below:
First, when the body finds so many nutrients available it may start repairing itself too quickly (causing detoxification) and perhaps creating headaches or flush symptoms.
Second, nature has placed natural protection into the outer layer of grains so they can withstand mold while growing in the damp ground. Since RiSoTriene is a concentrate of this outer layer of rice, it is naturally anti-fungal and may cause a Herxheimer effect in your body. This just means in your body may be killed in large amounts by the RiSoTriene and this may overload your eliminatory systems and cause a feeling like you are getting sick.
To avoid both of the above situations, we suggest people start with just a teaspoon or two per day (instead of tablespoons) and work up to the normal amount over a week or two.
Question: Why hasn't my doctor told me about RiSoTriene?
Answer: Doctors’ lives are focused on drugs not nutrition
Question: Why can't I just eat brown rice?
Answer:
- First, you don’t get all of the bran and germ. Even though it says brown rice, part of the bran has been milled off as it has been prepared for the store shelf.
- Secondly, you will be eating rancid oils. Brown rice has a high oil content and doesn’t stay fresh very long. By the time you buy it in the store, and especially if you don’t use it right away, you are going to be partaking of rancid oils (and that means lots of free radicals). Brown rice is always recommended to be refrigerated. RiSoTriene, is stabilized (protected against rancidity) 7 seconds after milling and has an unrefrigerated shelf life of at least one year because of the unique processing method.
- And, thirdly brown rice is normally cooked before it is eaten. Cooking destroys 95% of its delicate phytonutrients.
- And fourthly, brown rice comes with lots of starch (the white rice portion of the rice kernel comprises more than 90% of the rice kernel). You would have to eat at least 40 pounds of cooked brown rice) to equal the nutritional value in four tablespoons of RiSoTriene (a daily serving amount). Eating that much brown rice would provide you with 70,000 calories, instead of just 110 calories in two scoops of RiSoTriene.
Question: What is the difference between rice bran or rice bran oil at the health food store and RiSoTriene ?
Answer: Most rice bran and rice bran oil found at the health food store has had heat or chemical applied in the processing of it. That kind of processing destroys much of the nutrient value. RiSoTriene is created via a patented mechanical extrusion process without using prolonged high heat or chemicals. Also, the source of RiSoTriene is certified to be pesticide free organic brown rice.
Question: How do I take RiSoTriene?
Answer: RiSoTriene is a granulated powder with a sweet nutty flavor. It can be mixed in practically anything from yogurt and oatmeal, to juice, water, smoothies or protein drinks. Many people enjoy it directly out of the canister on a spoon. Just don’t heat it above 118 degrees Farenheit.
Question: For Diabetics: when should RiSoTriene be taken in order to balance or level blood sugars??
Answer: When trying to balance blood sugar, RiSoTriene should be eaten at every meal or snack (if possible). All diabetics are different and must find what works best for their own body. 1 teaspoon 6 times a day is a beginning standard, or 2 teaspoons 3 times a day. Eventually, try to work up to 2 tablespoons four times per day (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and just before retiring for the night). It can also be extremely beneficial to take a scoop in the middle of the night if the diabetic is awake at that time.
Question: Where does RiSoTriene come from?
Answer: RiSoTriene comes from rice grown in pesticide free fields in Montana and California. RiSoTriene goes through close scrutiny for purity. A batch is rejected if there is any detectable chemical or oother contamination.
